help with understanding flying mount costs?

why would anyone buy it when they can get a regular mount for 40g and an swift wyren for 80g.

even if it scales its 950 vs 120g (80+40)

does the DK flying mount even come with training?

and the cost better not be because of the looks because the thing looks like a piece of !@#$. it doesnt even have flaps of skin between the bone wings. and its not even big.

can someone explain the point of anyone spending that much other than for some reason they like the look or are my numbers wrong?

It's too add to your total mounts, i have paid a LOT more then 950g for mounts i don't use, i just like to collect them.
Why would you buy a swift wind rider when the normal one scales like every other mount in the game now? 1000g (800 if exalted with the Knights of the Ebon Blade) is to shove it in the faces of every non-DK who wants it but can't have it.

its the ugliest mount in game, specially if your a worgen or tauren its a tiny chicken with a huge dk on its back looks soo dumb. but i bought one anyways lmao ;)
It's like the goblin stealth animations. We like it because it's obnoxious.
Even better, we payed 1kish gold for a small 4legged winged mount, which wasnt converted to a multi mount in the patch.

p.s. (edit) the mount looks epic on a Belf or Hooman >.>, possibly orc aswel if you dont mind being topheavy.

Because the mount DK's can buy lookts a lot better than the ugly piece of crap default mounts you got to use.

950 gold isnt a lot either... I always have around 18-20k gold on me and I dont even put that much effort into making gold as most people do.
