I've recently started a DK and I've also been reading around as to the skills and rotation. But one question is how do you guys manage the runes and runic power? I find alot of times when I try to hit a spell or something I realise I don't have enough runic power. Seems like I'm always lacking rune or runic power.
Be great if you guys could maybe point to me the correct rotations or if I'm doing something wrong which cause me to awlays run out of runes or runic power...thanks!
Its going to be hard to judge at your level. You dont even have all of your abilities yet so give it some time and things will fall into place.
There are addons out there (such as the excellent DocsDebugRunes) which will display all your runes and runic power in one location, so you can see instantly what you have available to use.
That being said, at level 58 there are a LOT of abilities you don't have yet. Things should make more sense in the early-to-mid 60s.

this. Your pretty much stuck with a basic cycle. hit yoru primary strikes a few times each, let loose a death coil, back to square one.
by the time you hit your 31pt talent (especially if your frost) you'll have RP coming out of your ears. Then you'll learn to cycle your Rp dumps in with your standard strikes so your never capped/lean.
but at 58 you'll be lucky to get off a single RP ability per mob. they die too fast, and RP generation is too slow
I wouldn't go frost until 69/70 (which is when you get howling blast). Until then, you're simply missing many of your tools.
And yes, things feel mighty clunky for the first half of outlands. It gets better.
I like DKIrunes and diseases, if you get rid of the ghey sword graphic. You can put your rune icons anywhere on the screen.
I also use Energywatch which gives me a big ol fat RP bar that can be placed anywhere. The standard wow UI is awful for dks.
